Lightning

Well, before I begin this post, let me share with you something that I just drew out of whim 10 minutes ago:

 It's all Greek to me.

Zeus almighty, everyone. Bravo for my recent artistic masterpiece. I've never been drawn to drawing, but somehow, to art, for the past few months.

Not yet inspired, but a little more appreciative. Much better than that girl who would stare at the Mona Lisa and be creeped out by it a year ago. I still am though, and I know I'm not the only one. Anyway, I'm not planning to search for my afflatus anytime soon when it comes to drawing, but I do have a reason for drawing Zeus - not completely out of whim.

You see, our school is having its stage adaptation of Odyssey, a poem by Greek legend Homer. And guess what, I'm Zeus! That's a big yay, but since I don't have lines, I might as well look for my stance on stage for the duration of the play, hence the drawing, which by the way was copied from this.

I'll still have a chance to speak, though. I'll also be King Priam, ruler of Troy, who, after a few lines, dies because of the deception of the Greeks using the Trojan Horse. I don't really care if I die, at least I get to be on stage with that huge horse with people coming out of its underside. It's every child's dream. Not the part where I'd be killed, but still, I would love to be in that part. It's not the climax, but it's one of the most exciting scenes in the play. Unfortunately, I can't just stand there, looking all starry-eyed at the majestic horse. I'm King Priam. Reserve CJ's enchantment for when we finally see the video.

I don't know exactly how he reacts, though. Might be equally rapt withal. Hee. All right. I shall spend the rest of my evening, or rather, eve-morn, reading the script and hoping that King Priam is an interesting character to play. May the gods be with me.
